Past Events in Chelsea, MichiganOctober 2005Chelsea Musical Celebrations Concert - 10/1 The 2005-06 concert season kick off for the Chelsea Musical Celebrations will take place at Chelsea Retirement Community at 7:00 p.m. The concert will feature guitar and violin musicians Matthew Ardizzone and Yehonata Berick. Chelsea Antiques & Collectibles Show - 10/1 and 10/2 The Chelsea Antiques and Collectibles Show is held at the Chelsea Fairgrounds. Check it out on Saturday from 8-5, and Sunday from 10-4. Chelsea Crop Walk - 10/2 The 18th annual CROP event involves Chelsea and Dexter residents participating in a 1- or 5-mile walk to help raise money to alleviate hunger and poverty. It begins at 1:30 p.m. at St. Paul United Church of Christ in Chelsea. To participate, call (734) 475-9643, or register on the day of the event at St. Paul's church. "TRY IT DAY" at the Chelsea Center for the Arts- 10/8 Come and sample the many music programs offered at CCA. Programs for all ages, from babies to adults, are available to try. Cranes of Waterloo - 10/22 Programs and activities throughout the day celebrating the large sandhill crane population at Waterloo. Horse Drawn Wagon Rides - 10/29 Rodgers Corner Produce offers horse drawn wagon rides to the pumpkin patch from 1-5 p.m. on Saturdays in October. Hurricane Katrina Golf Benefit, "Swing Fore Relief" - 10/29 Reddeman Farms Golf Club, Michigan Golf Center and Chelsea United Methodist Church Group present this golf and dinner event to help raise money for victims of Hurricane Katrina. Art Day at the Chelsea Children's Co-Op - 10/29 Art stations will be set up from 10 - 2 for children to create several pieces of artwork, and you can pick out your favorite(s) for holiday or other greeting cards.
