Elementary Schools "Finale Festival" - 6/1

North Creek, Pierce Lake and South Meadows Elementary School PTO's team up every year to hold this fun-fill festival to raise money for the next school year. Chelsea Painters Art Fair - 6/3 and 6/4

"The First Americans" Authentic Recreation - 6/10 thru 6/11

During the 17th and 18th centuries, our area was home to thousands of Michigan Indians who had a thriving commerce with the French traders and Jesuits. This free event recreates an authentic Woodland Indian village complete with wigwams, crafts, and cooking demonstrations. Festival and Exhibitions at Waterloo Farm Museum - 6/24 and 6/25

Visit the Waterloo Area Historical Society during Education Weekend and Log Cabin Day. Visitors can learn about the century-long evolution of the Colt Revolver, observe blacksmiths demonstrating their trade, tour the Log Cabin, or have their heads examined by the itinerant Phrenologist. Marie Papciak’s portrayals of Civil War soldier Sarah Emma Edmonds and civil rights educator Laura Smith Haviland will be featured on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. The events begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday and run all weekend. Huron Valley Ambulance's Annual Camp 911 - 6/28 and 6/29

Children are invited to join HVA for a free two-day Camp from 9 til 4:30 p.m. Campers ages 9 to 12 will meet at the Chelsea Area Fire Authority Station, 200 W. Middle St. in Chelsea, to tour an ambulance, learn CPR, and take a tour of a local emergency room. HVA paramedics and EMTs serve as camp counselors, teaching campers about safety at home and at play, how to perform lifesaving skills, and all about emergency services careers. Chelsea Recreation Council is offering numerous sports camps this summer for children and teens (K-11) with expert instructors and coaches. Camps include soccer, volleyball, wrestling, basketball, football, and cheerleading. Tennis will not be offered this year due to the courts being renovated. This play, adapted from the Dan Gutman novel, is about a Little League player who finds the most valuable baseball card in the world while cleaning an elderly neighbor’s attic.
