Vincent York's Jazzistry headlines Jazz & Chocolates - 3/2

Enjoy a delightful evening guaranteed to quench your palette for jazz & chocolates featuring Vincent York’s Jazzistry and students from Chelsea Center for the Arts. The night will include an experience for jazz enthusiasts and novices alike filled with conversations in music and words. Chocolate desserts and treats will be served adding to the enchantment of the evening, along with beverages and a cash bar. The CCA also welcomes artist Byron Reed. His bright, busy paintings and multi-media images focus on jazz, its musicians and fans. Limited tickets are available by calling the CCA at (734) 433-2787. Michigan Snakes Alive - 3/3

Fact or fiction? Learn the truth about the misconceptions that surround these fascinating creatures during this program. Shia-Thai bodywork intensive - 3/2 thru 3/4

An integration of two unique styles of bodywork from Japan and Thailand, Shiatsu and Thai Massage. These interactive forms of bodywork encourage effective relaxation and invigoration while the practitioner implements the movements. Participants will learn basic philosophies, skills and techniques to create a full body treatment. Bowling Bonanza at Chelsea Lanes - 3/3

Siren Testing - 3/3

Maple Sugar Festival - 3/10 and 3/11

It's time for that traditional rite of spring - tapping maple trees. See the whole process of making maple syrup from collecting the sap to the evaporation process. All that Jazz! Chelsea Explores America's Legacy - 2/4 thru 3/11

The fourth annual Chelsea Reads Together program runs February 4 - March 11 and will explore jazz, the art form that became America's legacy to the world. Now playing at the Purple Rose Theatre: The Subject Was Roses - thru 3/17

Winner of the Pulitzer Prize, the NY Drama Critics’ Circle Award and the Tony for Best Play in 1965, this play by Frank D. Gilroy is a portrait of a family in the wake of WWII. A son who left as a pampered boy returns from the war as a man in his own right. His parents compete for his affection while trying to mask the tension in their marriage. Finally, both mother and father must face the choice between clinging to their child or recognizing the man he’s become. Quintessa Gallinat makes her professional directing debut with Patrick Michael Kenney, Grant R. Krause and Michelle Mountain in the cast. Public Hearing Regarding Utility Rates - 3/13

This public hearing is being held to allow for public comment on a proposed amendment to the rate schedule for water, waste water and electric utilities.
