The camp brings children together in safe, healthy camp environment where they will be given the opportunity to develop artistically, athletically and socially. Spring Knap-In: Michigan Flintknappers- 4/1 Artisans will be demonstrating the ancient art of chipping razor sharp tooks from stone. Members of the Great Lakes Primitives demonstrate stone age technologies for things such as starting a fire or making cordage from plant materials. Spring Break Mini-Camp at CCA - 4/3 thru 4/5 A mini-vacation during Spring Break at the Chelsea Center for the Arts, offering something for everyone! Make paper and crafts including molded paper and sculptures, cards, books and cool embellished paper all with simple, recycled materials. Come one, two or all three days and bring your kids to this fun day of art! Kids who want to come without their families must be 6 years and older. Special activities with art, visual and performing are planned for kids 7 and older, from 9 til 3:30. Kids should bring their outdoor clothes and a lunch. Relay for Life Charity Garage Sale - 4/20 and 4/21 The Circle of Friends Relay for Life team will be hosting a charity garage sale with all proceeds go to The American Cancer Society. What's Your Energy Source? - 4/21 This program celebrates Earth Day by focusing on alternative energy sources, including home lighting, ethanol, wind power and solar energy. Great Plate Workshop - 4/23 This class with Paula Herzog, RD is quickly becoming a classic for families at Moore Pediatrics. Musical Celebrations Series presents Kevin Meisel Band - 4/28 As part of Chelsea's Music Celebrations Series, the Kevin Meisel Band will perform at the Chelsea Depot on April 28 at 8pm. Kevin Meisel has played locally for the past 10 years in the thriving music scene in Ann Arbor, forming acoustic and electric bands with his brother Keith. As a recording artist, Kevin is currently working on his third record, Cruising for Paradise to be released later this year.
