Places to Buy Christmas Trees in Chelsea, Michigan

Q: Do you know of any cut your own tree farms in your area ? [We would] like to spend the day there and pick up a tree at the same time. Thank you.

There are quite a few options in the Chelsea area. Some are located in Chelsea, and some are not too far out of town. I'm also including places to buy pre-cut trees for others who may have similar questions. My own personal experience is with Arend's, where we've bought our tree the last few years and have been pleased at the selection and how long the tree lasted. I also have heard from many folks that Urquhart's is a great place to bring the family for a Christmas tree outing.

Here is a list of places within easy driving distance of Chelsea that carry Christmas Trees and fresh greenery.

Pre-Cut Christmas Trees

  • Cub Scout Christmas Tree Sale
    The Chelsea Cub Scouts are holding their annual Christmas tree sale in front of Polly's Country Market through 12/19 (while supplies last). Trees are provided by Arend's Tree Farms. Polly's is located at 1255 S. Main St., Chelsea, MI 48118. Tel: 734-433-0130.

    300 acre Christmas tree farm with many varieties of Christmas trees. Also offer wreaths, pre-cut living trees, garlands, container trees, tree stands, food & drinks, and wagon rides. Located between Grass Lake and Chelsea. Take I-94 West to exit 156 (Kalmbach Road) and follow the signs.

Animated Christmas toy house. Take I-94 to exit 150, turn left on Mt Hope to traffic light. Take right on Michigan Ave. Turn left on Lake St., which becomes Burtch Rd.
