Car Seat Safety Clinics
Moore Pediatrics schedules car seat safety clinics
on a regular basis. Our next clinic will be held on Friday, May 9th from
9:00 am until 12:00pm. Please see our Car
Seat Safety event listing for details. Open to our patients as well
as non-patients.
Did you know that there is a change in
the Michigan Car Seat Safety Law? Children 4-8 yrs and under
4'9" are
now required to be in a booster seat. Read

Coffee with the Doctors
Let your child(ren) play at the Tree House in downtown Chelsea while you
have coffee with their pediatrician. Admission to the Tree House is
50% off and light refreshments will be served. Open to our patients;
space is limited to 12 parents.

Instructors
- Dot Tetreault, LMSW, ACSW has been providing parent
education to families in Jackson County for 16 years. She is a private
therapist and is honored to assist parents and children through the healing
process of a variety of family related issues. Her specialties include
topics such as the divorce process, grieving and loss, trauma, depression
and the parent/child relationship. She holds a Master's Degree in Social
Work from the University of Michigan.
- Carol White is offering Montessori Math tutoring
for 4-7 year olds. Using the beautiful and tactile materials designed
by Maria Montessori, this very hands-on approach to math understanding
has stood the test of time. As they interact with the golden beads
and other math materials, children in the concrete stage of learning
can grasp the math concepts of numeration, decimal quantities, and
the four basic operations.
- Karin Elling is a registered dietitian and trained
chef. During her training at The Culinary Institute of America
she began to see that healthy food could be gourmet, beautiful
and delicious-not "rabbit food"! Her main goal as a
dietitian is to share her culinary and nutrition knowledge with others
so that choosing the right foods becomes an easy and enjoyable component
of a healthy, vibrant life. She gets profound joy out of helping
people to discover how exciting and empowering nutriton can be. A busy
person who practices what she preaches, Karin has devised strategies
for making sure she and her husband regularly eat the way she encourages
others to eat.
