In addition, One World One Family will be offering afternoon activities for young people and evening activities for everyone. The afternoon activities will begin at 1:00 p.m. at the Washington Street Education Center cafeteria, and will include a movie (Emmy Award winning, "The Color of Friendship," rated G), a craft project, stories and a snack. The evening activities start at 5.30 pm with a symbolic march that begins at the Municipal Parking Lot on Park Street. The march will progress through the downtown area, ending at the same lot. Individuals, area groups and organizations are encouraged to come with flashlights, banners, and signs to honor and remember the original Civil Rights protests. Entertainment, food, and educational programs will follow, beginning at 7 p.m. at the Washington Street Education Center. This year marks the fifth year that OWOF has sponsored this event.
