Last Days to Have YOUR Brick Unveiled at the New Chelsea District Library's OpeningAs most of us know, the Chelsea Library is making great progress on the new building downtown. [Click to read building updates on the Library's website] You can help the library and become part of history by purchasing a personalize brick to be placed at the new location. Bricks will continue to be sold after the new library opens, but if you wish to have your brick laid for the grand opening you must order and pay for it by May 31. Call the Library at (734) 475-8732 with any questions. See Jeff Daniels "Live & Unplugged" on May 13Jackson's Michigan Theatre will present Jeff Daniels onstage for a Live & Unplugged performance on Saturday, May 13, 2006, at 7:30 pm. This fundraiser will benefit the Purple Rose Theatre in Chelsea and the Michigan Theater of Jackson. [Jackson's Michigan Theater website] As a song writer, Daniels reels his audience in with hilarious and sometimes touching original songs. He pokes fun at himself and others, entertaining audiences with anecdotal vignettes of his life’s experiences: his first love, his first speeding ticket, his impressions of the movie industry and embarrassing moments. “You never know what’s going to happen with me. I mean, I don’t know what’s going to happen once I walk out on that stage. My thing is to have fun. I’ve been to far too many concerts where the audience doesn’t have any fun. Not at my show. At the every least, it’ll be a show that people won’t forget,” says Daniels. |
