Don't Forget to Vote on Nov. 8

Voting in the City of Chelsea this year is November 8 from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m. The polling location for all city residents is the Washington Street Education Center.

On the ballot this year are three seats for the City Council and the mayoral race, in which Mayor Ann Feeney is running unopposed. For City Council, Councilmember Cheri Albertson and Councilmember Frank Hammer will be on the ballot and Councilmember Jim Myles and resident Kent Martinez-Kratz are running as write-in candidates.     • Animal Care Network - Foster homes and new families needed for displaced pets. Call (248) 545-5055
    • Katrina Housing website - the IT folks at UM have set up a website to help those displaced by Hurricane Katrina to find new homes. The site also offers links to organizations who are compiling offers of housing.
