Acting Classes

Offering training opportunities for local artists is integral to the PRTC mission. A wide variety of performance classes for adults are offered throughout the season, and youth classes are available in the summer. Taught by working professionals, classes are open to students of all skill levels.

Purple Rose “Greenhouse”

Scripts are developed through a unique "greenhouse" process designed to "grow" new plays and playwrights. A greenhouse provides a playwright and the budding script with a professional director and cast; the process culminates in concert readings for live audiences. These special events are free of charge and feature feedback sessions which help shape the new script.
